Quranic Numerics · Carbon Creation
Every atom has an atomic number the count of protons in its nucleus. Carbon's is 6, which is why it's element 6 on the periodic table. Carbon also has a mass number the total count of protons plus neutrons. The most stable, abundant form of carbon is C-12: 6 protons and 6 neutrons, mass number 12. These two numbers 6 and 12 define carbon. They were first precisely established in the 19th and 20th centuries. The Quran was recorded in the 7th century.
The Quran uses 6 different Arabic words to describe the material of creation. Tap each card to learn what it means.
The word طِين (tīn = clay) appeared in several of those cards. It is the central creation material. How many times does طِين appear across the entire Quran?
